Created in 1929 for the Salon d’Automne art exhibition in Paris, le Petit Confort Armchair was part of the first modern furniture line to take the radical step of making the furniture frame a dramatic and visible aspect of the design. These “inside-out” chairs, comprised of a simple tubular steel frame fitted with plump, leather-covered cushions, created a design sensation that has lasted for almost eight decades – and is still going strong today.
Painstakingly constructed of gleaming 304 grade stainless steel, upholstered in full Italian Aniline Leather. We believe this chair is of a similar quality to the original at a fraction of the cost.
