Maria Strutz studied sculpture and painting in Germany and gained
her degree from St. Martins in London. From an early age she
experimented with various different artistic techniques. A
substantial amount of her work in related to natural forms, she is
interested in the essence of creatures and produces works influenced
by elements such as a sinew, a feather, a wing of a bird; Maria
seeks to depict their living and dynamic presence, she is interested
in the relationships between people and animals, her work reflects
this as she attempts to make a connection between the viewer and the
artwork. |
