Here at gallery136, we are passionate about the products we sell. Each item or range is sourced after extensive research. Only once they meet our strict criteria of quality, design or artistic merit, will we offer them for sale.

We like to encourage local artists and are currently featuring several who show great promise. Also we have a range of ceramics made by various potters, based in Beckenham and other parts of Kent.

Our furniture has been hand crafted by artisans with tools and skills handed down through the generations and as such variations occur from one piece to another. In fact in our opinion, this very difference is what gives these products their aesthetic value.

Our solid wood furniture is precisely that, solid wood. Unlike similar looking furniture that others might sell, we have no MDF hiding beneath a thin surface veneer. Please don’t be fooled by cheap imitations!

As far as we are aware, our furniture is made using wood from sustainable sources and our products are made without any use of child labour.
